Most of us have a drawer with an old MacBook, a cracked phone and a tangle of chargers. You do not want to throw a laptop in the garbage, but working out what to do with it feels like a chore. There are three sensible options: repair it, sell it or recycle it.
Repair first, if it makes sense
The greenest laptop is the one you already own. A MacBook that feels dead or slow often has one fixable problem:

If it is not worth repairing
- Sell or trade it in. If the device still works, we buy broken phones and sell refurbished ones, so ask us what your device is worth.
- Recycle it. If it is beyond repair, drop off old phones, tablets, laptops and chargers at our shop in Inglewood. Details are in the recycling section on our homepage: https://techfixcraft.ca/#services
Before you hand over any laptop
- Back up your files to iCloud or an external drive.
- Sign out of iCloud, iMessage and the App Store.
- Erase the laptop. On recent MacBooks, use Erase All Content and Settings in System Settings.
